First Entry for Tier 1 general

Post by amitedge » Tue Dec 07, 2010 9:40 am

Hi All,

I have been following this forum for a long time now, but my first question here - could not find a firm answer from a quick search, please bear if asked already.

1. We are asked the first date of journey in the application form - do we have to enter a date there that I have to travel on?

2. More importantly, I have heard from VFS India that we have to enter the UK within 3 months of the visa date - is that right?
The UK home office does not guide on out-of-country applications anymore. So could not confirm with them.

My understanding was that entering the UK after 3 months should be ok (apart from the extension application etc). Am I right ?

Thanks,
Amit

Thanks for your reply vinny. I did see that earlier, but that seems like 2008 info - wonder if things have changed since.

Is there a restriction on the first entry to UK after the visa is grated?
