Hi

I have heard that from April 2011, home office is scrapping Tier 1 General Migrant.

I'm on Tier 1 General Migrant visa and will be sending the application at the end of April for extension as I have got visa until 20 May 2011.

They have also said that in order to get a Tier 1 General Migrant you should be on £40,000 p.a. My annual earnings are £25,000. Will that be a problem

Can you please advice will these rules be applicable only for new applicants or for existing applicants as well??

Many thanks

Until such time that the govt. / UKBA announces any changes to immigration rules regarding leave to remain (extension) for existing Tier 1 (General) migrants, the rules remain as specified in Part 6A (245AA-245G) and Part 8 (319A-319K) of the immigration rules.
