Cover letter to accompany ILR Set M Application ?

Hi

When we applied for my wifes settlement visa we accompanied the application with a covering letter to give an introduction as to how we met and so on.

Would it be a good idea to do the same for the ILR Set M application? I know its not a requirement but would it be any harm to do this just to give a clear picture to the case worker looking at the application.

Any thoughts ?

They won't bother to read it, unless you're writing to clarify a reason for not supplying the required documents, or unable to meet the rules and are asking for discretion.
