Work permit plus HSMP for settlement visa

Hi guys,

I need your help. I am in uk since Aug 2005. I completed my Master degree in Oct 2006. After that I got my SEGS (Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme) which finished in 4th Dec 2007. I got work permit in 05th Dec 2007. After that I applied for HSMP point base system. My HSMP visa starts from 27th April 2009. Am I eligible to apply for settlement in December 2012? or I need to finish 5 years on HSMP? I mean when i apply for settlement visa, my work permit will be considered or not?

Please advice.

of course work permit is considered. You can apply in Dec 2012 (subject to you meeting all requirements incl absences out of UK and rules not changing before that)
