Bringing my husband to the uk on a tier 4 visa

i have been in the uk studying since june 2010 and my visa will expire in febuary 2012.

i want to apply for a dependant visa for my husband who is in nigeria, please i need help in knowing how many months living expenses i will have to show for the two of us.

since i have been studying in the uk for the past seven months do i still need to show living expenses for 9 months for my self.

please kindly help
