I have recently been granted British Citizenship. I am looking to bring my mother from India to live with me. I notice that the information on HO website is quite vague. I would be grateful if someone can help me with some information:
My mother is 62 years old and has been travelling back and forth from India to UK for the last 4 years. My father recently died (though they separaetd in 1986). My only other sibling lives in US and financially dependent on her husband. My mother is living alone in India. My uncles and aunts (my mother's siblings) have never been supportive of my mother and have always maintained their distance as my mother married my father who was a different religion to them against the family's wish which they are still bitter about.
My mother is not financially dependent upon me with 4-5 streams on income and about £200,000 worth of properties and investment in India if she liqudated them all. (all of which she has already decared to UK embassy when she got her visitor's visa)
Will this case be considered under compassionate circumstance on the following basis:
1. That both her children are out of India and she lives alone in India
2. That i am a single parent who is brining up a small child on my own with no family support (i earn a decent salary and work full time) and i am struggling on my own.
3. Travlling so much and the unstable situation has caused a lot of stress for my mother and her health if going down
4. That she is financially well off that she will at no point need to access public finances.
I would be grateful if someone can help me in this matter.
Thanks!
