ILR absence

Post by zebraboy » Mon Feb 21, 2011 1:15 pm

Hi All,

My case is
WP -> Tier 1

I started my WP in Oct 2006, and I chaned to Tier 1 in Nov 2008.

In Feb 2009, I got the job offer from my second employer and accepted the offer.

In Apr 2009, I finished the contract with my first employer. My second job started in late May 2009.

Within the gap between the two jobs, I took two trips abroad. The total time abroad within the gap is 30 days.

Now I'm planning to apply for ILR in Oct this year.

Although I can provided evidence that I have comfired my second job offer before I left and would definitely be back, I'm still worried about my unpaid absence between my two jobs.

Will this be a problem?

Thanks.

Shouldn't be. It's a holiday you took between switching jobs ... and that's fine.

regards

Thanks for the reply.

Do I need to prepare any document to clarify this problem, or it doesn't worth mentioning?

Another question about the employer letter, should it be dated within one month of the application date?

Thanks.

For Tier 1 there is no compulsory requirement for an employment letter. It is best to get as recent a letter a possible.
