Visitor Visa

Post by missyme » Thu Mar 24, 2011 9:56 pm

Hi
My boyfriend needs to come here for a visit (november) as we are due to have a baby and I want it here but not alone!!
We have no savings...I come here for 6 weeks and work to pay for my flight back and he works there to cover rent and food costs.
I get child tax creddit, child benefit and contribution based jobseekers when i'm here - nothing when I'm there so how do we get him here??
We will stay with my family so no rent or food money required but will that satisfy them or will they still say he needs money?
We are hoping his uncle gives him £1000 will that be enough?
He has proof that his job is there when we return, we have a rented apt with all our furniture and clothes, etc so we definately going back (I have been told thats immigrations main concern?)
Also would he stand a better chance if we were married? we were due to get married in June in Jamaica but now I;m expecting I'd like to wait?
Sorry for questions but we never planned on him coming here at all...I was moving there perm but health care is so much better here for me and baby. We plan to go back there ASAP after the birth tho

I guess they will need to know if he can sustain the financial needs in going over there.

what is your status in the UK?

How is is that you can come here for 6 weeks and work to pay for your flight back as well as claim contribution based JSA?

How often do you come here and for how long?

I claim JSA while looking for work - I work to pay for my flight - he supports me while I'm there. I'm a British Citizen (through Birth)
Its difficult to find atm here - I'm still trying :( he could actually get work here quicker than I can (labourer, contruction, store room, etc) but I know thats not an option atm
