Will past overtay in USA affect Tier 4 entry clearance?

Post by razahady » Fri Apr 01, 2011 3:34 pm

hello I overstayed in USA for 8 months on M1 student visa but i came back India that is my home country in march, 2009. I came back normally nothing were stamped on my visa or on my passport. Can anyone please tell me that I want to apply for student visa in UK on my same passport. Is there any chances for rejection due to the overstay in USA.

1. Your visa will have the exp date on it and wen u came back to india it will have the entry date stamped on it by indian immigration.
2. Depends on the visa officer to be honest if they look at the date then u might get a rejection and if they dont look at your travel history then u might not.
3. Tier 4 form has question (6.7) which asks for these sort of details anyway but if you are saying that u did not have any stamp or notice in your visa for your illegal stay in the USA then u luck.
