Hello forum! I'm so pleased to finally post questions about my future adventure in becoming a British citizen. (I've bolded out words that are important to help give me advice and make it a bit easier.)
Now, here is my story.
My name is Deanna and I was born and live in the United States. I'm 20 years old (yes I know the visa I'm looking at requires me to be 21) and I am married to a wonderful 26 year old British citizen. We have been together for 4 years and married for 2 in November of this year (2011).
Right now my husband, Luke holds a temporary 2 year U.S. green card that we obtained through the U.S. Fiance visa. He has been living in the United States with me since October 2009 and has had his green card since March of 2010.
I am looking to apply for the U.K. Marriage Visa in a year or 2 once Luke obtains full citizenship. I really need advice on if the Marriage visa is the right way to go and if it's the quickest. I love my husband's family and can no longer stand to be away from them more than I have to be.
Is there a different visa I should be looking into instead of the Marriage visa? Whatever visa you think is best, could you please give me a bit of details and requirements concerning that visa?
I could REALLY use a helping hand as my brain is nackered as you all would say with University and U.S. visas.
Thank you so incredibly much. I will hope to be contributing to the forum by answering questions as I gain more information about these visa.
Again, thank you very much.
Deanna and Luke!
