Work Permit to Settlement

Post by vinaya » Wed Apr 20, 2011 11:23 am

Hi,

I am currently on a 5 year work permit. My permit was approved and visa stamped in the UK.

My work permit was approved based on the letter dated the 29.01.07, but I had my visa stamped based on the letter on the 15th Feb'07. As far as eligiblity to apply for settlement, can I apply 28 days prior to the 29th of Jan 2012 or has it got to be 28 days before the 15th feb'12.

Please let me know.

Many thanks
Raj

I have another question in regard to work permit and settlement as well which affects me.....

I have had to recently submit technical changes form, since my company name and status was changed via a mangement buyout......My new company submitted the technical change form and my stay has been confirmed by the HO until 15.02.12 as previously, working for my new compnay under work permit arrangements .

My role has not changed or the markets the business was operating has not changed either....

Will this have any bearing on the five year rule for ILR or on anything else in relation ILR

Thanks for all your help
