can I use proof of earnings for proof of maintainance funds

I have my T1G extension application due this month.
I would be submitting my bank stmts for my previous earnings. I would also want the case worker to refer to these same stmts for maintainance funds. Can I write this on my covering letter? Or do I have to submit the bank Stmts again.

Mentioning in the covering letter is fine.

In addition, in the summary sheet (section 7) you need to specify which documents you have included for maintenance funds.
There you can mention 'same bank statements used for earnings proof'.

You can use the single bank statement for both attributes. Even if you do not send any covering letter, caseworker would still consider it automatically if you just tick on the form.
