After ILR, how much time upto getting a passport ?

In the perspective of new rules requiring completion of five years of stay as HS migrant before one can apply for ILR, I want to ask:

1) how much time would it take to get ILR

2) after ILR within how much time one can apply for a passport . And within how much time would they issue a passport.

According to my knowledge

1) 5 years required for ILR provided u'v not been out of uk for more than 450days

2) 1 year required after ILR for Passport

Before applying for the passport you have get naturalized first

How much time would naturalization require? What is the procedure ? I want to know the total time required for getting british passport.

Can anyone guide and mention all steps with time period required for each?

In another topic yo say "I am presently in Iran" so it is clear that your time-clock has not yet started.

If applying for HSMP, after nearly 5 years you can apply for ILR, after having ILR for one year you can apply for naturalisation, after getting naturalisation you can apply for a British Passport.

How long to go through all that? Given that you are really asking about the processing times years down the line it is impossible to say with any certainty. However based upon current times, assuming you make timely applications you might have a British Passport 6.5 years after arriving.
