Student - dependants

I am thinking of applying for a student visa to complete my MBA at the Galway university in 2013 - my question is wrt my dependants, which is basically my wife. I have been looking at the literature on the issue, but cannot find an applicable visa that would cater for her - we are from South Africa and therefore Non - EU residents.

Family members have no right to reside on the basis of being a family member of a student. The Department would be inclined to grant her Stamp 3 (she will not be permitted to work) if you can satisfy them that you have enough funds to support you and her for the duration of the Masters.
