dependent maintaines funds

Post by helloworld78633 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:12 pm

Just a question from the expert and senior people on this forum
What is amount needed in bank account if I want to apply for my wife and child visa (dependent) from abroad. I am currently on Tier 1 (General). I have currently maintained 1100 (533 * 2) in my account for the last 65 days on the advice of immigration advisor. Please if anybody can reconfirm or put some light on it. Any genuine help will be really appreciated.

Points

I have being living for more than 5 years in United Kingdom.
I have recently got my Tier 1 (Initial) before I was on post study work visa
I have currently maintain 1100 for two dependents (wife and child) , as I am living in this country for the past 12 months

Questions:

What funds do I need in my account for my wife and my child?
Do I also need to show my maintaines funds to? if so how much?
Do account need to be on my name or my dependent ?

Thank you sushdmehta for you reply.

I have read the guideline but wording is very confusing to get a clear answer out of it. I was hoping if some one clearly explain to me.

The link given above is for a topic in this forum, not a UKBA document!
