Post by andyjackson » Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:42 am

Hi am planning to meet up with my online girlfriend in UK, we have never met in real. I am an Indian Citizen living in India. What are the requirements for application of visa and what type visa will i need to apply for? I am planning to stay in UK for a week and if things go well can i come back India and apply for Spouse Visa?

You will need to apply for a Visitor Visa. However, unless you can show strong reasons for returning to India the ECO may take the view that as you have a girlfriend in the UK you may overstay your visa and refuse the application.
The ECO will be looking for evidence of either permanent employment in India that will continue when you return, study, ownership of property or strong family ties.
You're both over 21?
