Earnings - one month's salary adjusted against notice period

Post by sts96508 » Sun Jul 03, 2011 12:22 am

Hi Friends

I changed jobs once in the 12 month previous earning period and the salary for a month won't be paid by my previous employer as it will be deducted as salary in lieu of notice. This is for the month of May. I still haven't received the payslip/release papers so not sure how it will be worded.

Any idea if this 'gap' of a month's salary in the 12-month previous earning period will be a problem in my Tier1 extension application. The previous job was in India and the current one is in UK.

thanks
Vinay

lets say you need £40k to meet income criteria

you can work January and earn £20,000 then not work for 10 months and then work december and earn £20,000

as long as you earn the required amount in the total 12 months there is no problem having gaps
Keep it simple!
