Hi there,
I know this topic has been done to death.
I am sorry to ask yet again, but I wanted to be absolutely sure before I filled in my wife's application for ILR (my daughter is also on the same application as a under 18 dependant).
Here is the background :
I am British and my wife is South African.
We have 3 children (2 British and 1 South African)
I have been claiming CB for the 3 kids, HB for us as a family, and we have claimed CTC as a couple which is paid to my wife as she cares for the children. I work and she doesnt. We do not get WTC as I do not qualify.
So here's my question(s) :
On the ILR application form where it discusses Public Funds, it firstly asks are you claiming?
Now there seems to be some confusion as to what constitutes a public fund and what doesnt. If I click YES then a list comes up with tick boxes next to my and my partner. If I tick NO then it obviously doesnt and I can go to the next page.
So, should I tick YES???
And then if so, where do I place the ticks for what we are claiming?
Should all the ticks be under my name ONLY (for CB, HB, and CTC)?
Regarding the CTC, as it is a joint claim, should the ticks be under BOTH of our names or just mine, or hers as it is paid to her?
Many thanks for all the wonderful help.
