HSMP (Tier-1) extension Age calculation

Hi,

I've applied for HSMP on 13th Feb 2008 and received the HSMP letter on 14th March 2008. In HSMP letter its mentioned that, "APPLICATION AGAINST THE QUALIFYING CRITERIA - FROM 5 DECEMBER 2006".

Then I've applied for EC and I got Tier-1 Visa stamping on 1st October 2008 valid till 1st October 2011.

Now I'm in UK and planning for the extension.
There are few queries I couldnt get any answer.

1. My age is 30. In PBS of the Website its awarding me 10 points, Where as in the application for my age its showing only 5 points.
Can any one explain me what might be the issue?

2. In the application form its mentioned for the HSMP extension the fees is £500 and Tier-1 is £1000. I'm having HSMP letter and Tier-1 Visa. So in which category I'll fall in.
