Maintenance Funds

Post by jrush64 » Fri Aug 19, 2011 5:15 pm

Hi everyone

I have a question I wanted to ask about the maintenance funds. I haven't had up to £800 for the past 3months but i've had more than £1000 for 2 months. My visa is expiring middle of October and I want to apply by beginning of September.

I wanted to ask if I can use an overseas joint account with my father for the maintenance. There has been more than £800 in the account for the past 5 months.

Thank You

Edt: Also, i graduated last month and i'm on the Tier 4 visa

100. If the applicant wishes to rely on a joint account as evidence of available funds, he/she must be named on the account along with one or more other named individual

The guidance says it's permitted to use an overseas account and to use a joint account. Therefore one must conclude with confidence that account can be both joint and. Good luck.
