VAF10 query and Sponsor letter

Post by my_user_name » Wed Aug 31, 2011 1:36 pm

Hi,

VAF10 asks if the applicant (Tier 1 dependent) is accompanying or joining the main applicant later.

What should be the answer if the main application is holding the Tier 1 Visa from one year, went couple of time to the UK for interviews etc. but now going to the UK along with the dependents to start am employment. Therefore the dependent visa is being applied.

Thanks,

Thanks.

One additional question - What could be the proof of accommodation in this case? Would the hotel booking suffice?

Thanks for the help.

Neither Policy Guidance nor VAF10 guide is asking for this. However, when I google, I see that almost everybody is scrambling to provide a accommodation proof and most of the people provide tenancy agreement. I can not provide as I am yet to fly for UK while I am applying for dependent visa for my wife. Hence this question.

Thanks again.

You are confusing yourself. Provide only what is asked for on the VAF10 application form and guidance.

I have another query on VAF 10.

Section 7.13 of VAF10 asks "If the main applicant is living in the UK what permission do they have to stay there?". What should be the answer (Tier 1 or Blank) if the Main Application is still staying in the home country and had gone to the UK just for couple of days on Tier 1.

thanks,

1. Barclays UK from 1st June 2011 to 6th Sep 2011 with 2800 GBP for the main application

2. ICICI India for from 1st June 2011 to 16 Sep 2011 with 1600 GBP for the apllication (dependent).

Does these accounts statements should have same start and end dates?

Also, if I want to give a bank letter confirming minimum balance from ICICI, would the dates be same as the account statement of ICICI?

Thanks,

As long as you provide evidence that you have maintained the required funds for a period of 90 days, and the bank statement has not been issued more than 1 month before the date of application, there is no requirement for the two statements to follow the same 90 days period or be issued on the same date.

The letter must state the facts .. in line with the bank statement from ICICI that you wish to use.

Completing VAF10 form.

where should i put cross in Part 5.3 as i am on tier 1 general. Should i leave it blank??

As first option is for tier 2, second for tier 4 and third for tier 4 as well.

Thx in advance.

Read 5.1 first before you fill the rest of the section.

5.1 Put a cross (x) in the relevant box to indicate under which area of the maintenance requirement you are applying:

Then:
Own/Main applicant’s funds or your Parent/legal guardian’s funds - Go to Question 5.2

or
Main applicant is a Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) whose A-rated sponsor is certifying your maintenance or a Tier 4 (General) Student who has
Official Financial Sponsorship to cover your maintenance. Go to Question 5.3

Given that you are on Tier 1, I would like to assume that you are using your own funds, right? In which case "go to question 5.2". Leave any other boxes that are not applicable to you.
