Urgent Query: Tier 1 Extn Appl - - PLEASE HELP!!!!

Post by Nevadawipe » Fri Sep 09, 2011 3:49 pm

Hi All,

I recently applied for the Tier 1 Extn last week and had a problem with the Debit card payment (due to banking security policy) :(.

I tried to correct the situation by sending them a fax and recorded letter yesterday with fresh payment details but it was of no use as, I spoke to HO today and they told me that they basically have sent my application back today and gave me RM ref number (so, hopefully i should get my documents with in next 3-4 days). I have couple of questions before i make a fresh application again:

1. Do i need to get a new statement from bank regarding Maintainence funds, if my old statement is still less than 2 weeks old? (i think as per HO guidance 90 days maintainence statement shouldnt be issued more than 30 days ago - so i am hoping this should be ok)

2. Do i need to mention anywhere in the form or include a covering letter, that the reason i am making a fresh application again is because of the payment issues last time or should i just say nothing about that??

3. Does this have any bad effects on my application (payment being declined the first time)?

Please advise..... Thank you very much in advance!!

BTW - definately using a Cheque or Postal orders next time
