Dear friends, I am a main applicant and my visa needs be extended in March 2012, I worked from March 25th, 2010 to April 5th, 2011 and started my maternity leave from April 6th 2011. So I am getting Maternity allowance (as i did not qualify for SMP from employer). I am planning to close my maternity leave by October 30th 2011. So I should consider my earning period as Sep 1st 2010 to April 30th 2011 (8 months) and Nov 1st 2011 to Feb 28th 2012 (4 months) (This is as per Point 87 in
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf). So I am sure that I can just exclude my maternity period here. But my question here is will this maternity allowance included in earning. In that case, I can not consider my earning period as Sep 1st 2010 to April 30th 2011 (8 months) and Nov 1st 2011 to Feb 28th 2012 (4 months) . If the maternity allowance is considered as my earning , then my earning period will be March 1st 2011 - Feb 28th 2012 (12 months). Can any guide me on this. Thanks in advance.
