Application for Registration as a British Citizen

-My mother is a UK Overseas Citizen passport holder
-Born in Kenya in the 1940s
-Has held a UK Passport since the 1950s, up until the present day.
-She is over 65 & Widowed
-Moved to Pakistan in the 1950s
-Never held any Pakistani Passport - only the UK Passport
-Both her parents (now deceased) held UK Passports

Form B(OS) requests "A letter from the authorities of the country in which you were born saying whether you have ever held that country's citizenship or nationality. If you have at any time held that country's citizenship or nationality but no longer hold it..."

Who are these authorities that she needs to contact for such a letter?

Is there anything else we need to know about this application?

Still struggling...she cant get a letter from her birthplace (Kenya) as they had to leave their sharpish due to their regime!

How/Where do they get this letter from? What authorities etc? Thanks
