Income proof for dependent's ILR

I'm on british passport and my wife will apply for her ILR as my dependent in November 2011. She was on her Tier 1 visa before changing it to dependent's visa 20 months ago. She is financially independent and earns more than the earning limit set for Tier 1/ILR.

If I can't produce my income proof while applying for her dependent's ILR, can we just produce her income proof to show that we don't need public funds or we're financially OK?
