PSW- ILR or Spouse Visa?

Hi,

I am currently working in the UK on a post study work visa (expires in Feb 2011) and am getting married to my British national boyfriend in January this year. We have live together for two years.

After our wedding, in January, can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain, as spouse of a British citizen or do I have to apply for the spouse visa first?
