Calculation for out side UK , please help

Post by mithai420 » Sun Jan 29, 2012 2:43 pm

One confusion still remains pending :

My passport has stamp "arrived delhi" Date as 22nd Dec and probably I took night flight from London - Delhi so in this case my travel date to be excluded is 21st dec or 22nd dec .

Exit from UK has no stamp hence I don't remember that I departed on 21st Night or 22nd Morning .

I don wanna put data just by assumption .........it may lead to invalid / false data.

Return date is no issue since 6th jan is "departed india" as well as "arrived UK" so its simple that 6th jan need to be Excluded.

I am just confused about - 21st or 22nd dec ?

Please help.

Hi

If your total number of days outside UK is less than 180, it should not matter whichever (of the 2) date you mention.

Thanks friend.

but as per the rules which date should be taken as calculation may differ using 21 and using 22nd dec.

return date is OK .....no confusion for that.

Please help

Thanks

try to trace your e-ticket to see your travel dates and exclude accordingly .... else to be safe, do not exclude exit travel dates if in doubt...

the only flight to delhi to reach same day is BA, rest all the flights you board at night and reach next day.
now you have to remember which was your flight.

Dear Friend - Yes, your logic is correct but unfortunately my initial trip details that is 2007 Dec details are not available , all what is available is stamp on passport for 22nd Dec "arrived delhi" so I am confused whether I should count 21st or 22nd as 1st day out of UK.

If 22nd was my travel date that I believe 23rd will be 1st day as Out of UK so all confused between 21,22 and 23rd Dec.

My common sense says count as 21st Dec because it is safer option.

One more thing - If we travel at night that is example : today night 8:50Pm and reach india in Morning 10:30am so out of UK date to be counted from tomorrow - Is that correct.

Please advise
