ILR - Dependent Enquiry

Post by rreddy » Wed Feb 08, 2012 3:18 pm

Dear ALL,

My wife is hasn't spent 2 yrs in UK and now i am going to apply for ILR next month. Will she also needs to take Life in the UK test now or at the time when she is applying for ILR after 1 yr.

Currently she is on Tier 1 general dependent.

Please let me know.

Many thanks,

Regards,
Ravi

Note that she will need to apply for further leave on Form FLR(M) after you are granted ILR in order to apply for ILR on Form SET(M) next year. This will require her to take an English language test (but not the life in the UK test) unless she is exempt due to having a degree taught in English for example.
