thanks, so do I upload my passport copies twice on ukvcas for the passport section and residence section?contorted_svy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 9:48 pmWrite a cover letter that you will upload before you attend your biometric appointment. Referees can sign at any point around a month either before or after you apply (but before the biometric appointment).
The ukvcas website says black and white but the documents checklist says colour copy of passport so everything can be seen clearly?contorted_svy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 10:45 pmjust once will be enough. Upload in black and white as they say.

Thank you that is a great point! Do referees have to write their name on form in capitals?alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 3:55 pmIgnore that instruction!
It's a left over from the paper days.
The photo doesn't have to be signed our glued, it's scanned anyway.

One more qu:
have a completed a degree in English but if I say I have the naturalisation application form is not giving me question about 'have you passed an approved english language test. In the past application for ILR, i indicated i had degree completed in English but wouldn't meet english requirements.
I have a life skills english test certificate which I used for ILR that will meet the requirements for naturalisation.
If I say I do not have degree certificate (so life skills qu appears) is that ok although I said I had degree on spouse extension and ILR appliction??
thanks but can I say i do not have degree as previously I said I had on ILR application?alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 5:22 pmRe. degree
You can use the test you submitted for ILR.
The degree as such is not important for the application, as you didn't use it to prove English at that time.
Yes. You must upload them at least 2 days before your biometric appointment.Do I submit ukvcas scans after the online application is submitted? Is there time limit to submit the docs on ukvcas?
Either, doesn't matter.Should scans be black and white or colour for ukvcas?
Thanks again, really appreciate your help.CR001 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 7:58 pmYes. You must upload them at least 2 days before your biometric appointment.Do I submit ukvcas scans after the online application is submitted? Is there time limit to submit the docs on ukvcas?

i have got referee to complete form in black pen, is that ok?contorted_svy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 3:22 pmNames of referees can be typed. Scan the form in black and white as instructed.
yeah I used the IELTS B1 LIFE skils exam for ILR application in 2023. The exam was taken in 2020 though so is it still ok to use for citizenship application?contorted_svy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:52 pmYes it will be ok.
Did you use the English test for a previous visa application that led to settlement? if yes, you can use it.
Thanks for replying.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 7:53 pmA referee can be a friend, a neighbour, colleague, etc.
Your English test will be ok as you used it for ILR.
