Um, yes it's you misreading/misinterpreting.KA941 wrote:...
So the way I read it is that if you dont have B1 CEFR (English language assessment), regardless of where your degree is from, you still have to have the UK NARIC confirmation. as it says in point (i)
Or is it me reading and interpreting it incorrectly?
any clarification would be highly appreciated
Thanks

or (ii) the qualification was taught or researched in the UK
[/quote]or (ii) the qualification was taught or researched in the UK
As you say, for a degree-holder, it's clause (i) OR (ii) that applies; so choose to use clause (ii) if you studied at degree level in UK.KA941 wrote:...
Ok
But why not by clause (i)
If you read 2b - they say the word "and" meaning (what I understand) is degree on it's not enough and either (i) or (ii) should also be met. Any thoughts

The only thing that is confusing and bugging me is what it says in the application form and the AN Booklet. I quote
"1. Have passed the Life in the UK test; AND EITHER
2. a. Have a speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher, or an equivalent level qualification; OR
b. Have obtained an academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the United Kingdom and
(i) UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was taught or researched in English or
(ii) the qualification was taught or researched in the UK or a majority
So the way I read it is that if you dont have B1 CEFR (English language assessment), regardless of where your degree is from, you still have to have the UK NARIC confirmation. as it says in point (i)
Or is it me reading and interpreting it incorrectly?
any clarification would be highly appreciated
