Biometric enrolled. 05/08/2015

I applied after withdrawing my tier1 entrepreneure appeal from first tribunal. I did not heard anything after submission of biometric letter. It's now 12 week, today I called home office they said my application is still pending. Please anyone waiting such long or face same situation please comment thanks

Unfortunately still haven't heard anything back from the Home Office. Letters and emails unanswered; phone calls all unhelpful.

Is it likely to delay/jeopardise my application if I put in a request to have my passport (and my wife's passport) returned, so that we can apply for visas (not UK) for upcoming trips?

i think requesting to have your documents back would mean a withdrawal of the application and if your current stay has expired, it would make you an overstayer. I think its wise to cancel any trip and wait for the decision. afterall you have waited ths long. just saying....

Thanks for the advice babymama. My current visa (tier 4) is actually valid for quite a while still - this application however was to switch to a spouse visa. So hopefully withdrawing my application won't make me an over-stayer.

However...both my wife and I need to travel regularly and it's quite crippling having to cancel our trips/not be able to plan future trips just because of the lack of information from the Home Office. The most I've been able to find out is that they are only prepared to discuss my application after 8 weeks have passed, but there is no guarantee of course that it will have been considered within those 8 weeks...hence I'm wondering about the timelines of other forum members who had premium appointments with further document requests. If it's likely to be more like 6 months, rather than 8 weeks, I think I'll have to withdraw my application :(

i understand your frustration. there has been lots of delays and backlogs at UKVI lately. I cant say for sure why this is but I hope they get their acts together soonest.
i hope yours gets resolved quickly. Good luck.

Our approval letter and docs arrived today! :)

One question though - there's nothing in the passport, is that right? :?

Here's our timeline -
fLR(M) sent: 19/08/2015 special delivery
Fee deducted: 21/08/2015
Acknowledge letter, Biometric appointment and request for missing info - all in one package: 26/08/2015.
Sent back missing answers ( ) & biometrics enrolled: 27/08/2015
Approval letter, passports & supporting docs returned: 10/10/15.
Biometric residence permit: waiting.

Good luck everyone who is still waiting!

congrats chckens40, they no longer stamp passports but issue biometric resident permits, which you should have received by now. if not, you need to contact the Home Office about it.
i applied in September and still waiting.....

Hi, in my experience, it is usually a couple of days at the most.

Phewwww
Finally got my approval letter along with documents on the same envelope.

BRP also came but I was not at home so rearrange delivery is the worst ever with DX.

My wife got biometric today, but no signs of our documents or passports. Has anyone had documents come after the biometric card?

FLR(M) application sent to HO: 27/08/15
Application signed for: 28/08/15
Payment shown on statement: 03/09/15
Acknowledgement letter: 04/09/15
Biometric letter received: 04/09/15
Biometrics enrolled at PO: 05/09/15
FLR(M) visa granted: 20/10/15 (shown on bio card)
Passport and docs received: ?????
Biometric card received: 22/10/15

Gorgeous girl did you have to sign for your documents, was your passport included in those documents? Who did they use as the courier for the documents?

Hi eksbee, I should have received my brp on Tuesday. It was sent through DX and since I was not at home I have to rearrange the delivery.

Approval letter and all documents was sent through Royal Mail and it needs signature.

Interesting so it looks like you would have received your brp before your docs had you been home, looking through the thread it looks like most people get the docs a few days before the brp, maybe the trend is changing. Maybe we will get our docs tomorrow
