TIER 2 TO ILR

Post by Krishnaja » Sat Feb 06, 2016 6:48 pm

Dear All,

I am a Tier 2 (General) migrant. I am working for the same employer (sponsor) since 5 yrs (Sept 2010 -Present). I qualify for ILR from Sep 2015.

In Nov 2013 i was on maternity leave for 9 months but was in the country(UK) basically didn't travel abroad. After maternity resumed work as normal with the same employer.
1. Should i count the maternity leave as leave of absence.
2. If yes where should i mention this on the ILR form.

Thanks in advance for the reply and advice.

Regards.

Leave of absence is only for time spent outside the UK. So, no you don't have to mention your maternity leave in your ILR application form.
