After ceremony how to get BRITISH PASSPORT ?
I noticed on the Plymouth register office site that you can pay extra to have a private ceremony at your own location, so unless there is some quirk in the rules which excludes public houses, there's no reason why you couldn't have your ceremony in a pub.Wanderer wrote:The ceremony is extremely boring, I'd just go to the pub instead.
Or if living in Scotland, you could have it in bus shelter with a bottle of Bucky and a fried Mars Bar....ohara wrote:I noticed on the Plymouth register office site that you can pay extra to have a private ceremony at your own location, so unless there is some quirk in the rules which excludes public houses, there's no reason why you couldn't have your ceremony in a pub.Wanderer wrote:The ceremony is extremely boring, I'd just go to the pub instead.
thanks for the replyCasa wrote:You can't apply for your passport until you have attend your BC ceremony. The passport will be sent by post....after you've attended and passed your interview.

See here for the kind of questions you will be asked in your passport interview: http://www.immigrationboards.com/britis ... 64893.html
It's mainly to confirm your identity.
The passport interview is to make sure you are who you say you are.virus wrote:thanks for the reply

I think the closest you can get to the council thing is the premium service but yea - not for the first passport.secret.simon wrote:To the best of my knowledge, the only way to apply is by post. There is no council service for passports.
Just wanted to add a note here that for the private ceremony you don't have to sing.noajthan wrote: You will have to take the oath.
Oh and you have to sing.
