Mistake in online application

Post by eduleal » Mon Nov 14, 2016 1:42 pm

Hi there,

Quick question -

If I make a mistake on the Tier 2 online application and realise it AFTER I've completed the declaration BUT BEFORE it is paid (or the IHS in inserted) - it seems I cannot edit anything after that.

- Is there any other way to amend it before I pay?

- Could I process a fresh one (either with same or other email address) with all the correct info and use the same COS - i.e. will that one be "used up" even though I haven't paid?

This would be for a Premium in-person application.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Does the question imply that there is no way to amend it?

It is a simple question  asking what the mistake was. I have not implied anything!!

lol -
It was more of a hypothetical question. I realized I cannot edit, but haven't yet reviewed - I need to go back and double check everything with my documents (not home). Just want to make sure there is a plan B in case there is a mistake.

If you typed Mr instead of Mrs, for example, correct it by hand on the printed version.

Some mistakes are ok to correct by hand, hence my question.

Hi,

So i have actually made a mistake on my Visa, this isn't a hypothetical.

i have completed and signed the declaration part online, and paid for the IHS Surcharge.

The error i made was, i was under the impression my Visa was for 3 years, but HR accidentally put the dates on thee COS for 2 years!!

i already put in the form that i intend to stay in the UK for 3 years and i also put my work dates for 3 years on the IHS part of the application, I was charged 3 years of IHS, 600 GBP.

I haven't booked my appointment or paid for the application and was told by the Gov.UK support teamover the phone that i could re-do a new application and provide my IHS number which would auto-calculate that it had been paid for the 2 years on my new application. or potentially may have to pay again but would receive a refund within 90 days for the duplicate payment. The status if incomplete.

From what you have written it seems it could be better to just pay for the application cross out 3 years and put 2 years (mistake as visa is 2 years) potentially get HR to provide a confirmation of the mis-understanding?

I obviously just dont want a small error effecting the decision.

I would appreciate your advice if you have had any experience with this situation?

Thanks,

Patrick

Same issue that I wanted to clarify. I made saw a mistake after I clicked on the IHS link but before paying for anything. I then completed a new application form and paid for and submitted it.

I assume that this is fine - the COS hasn't been "used" on the first draft, right?
