My timeline was much shorter than expected, I`m an EU national (A8 country) and had a straightforward application - 5 years of full employment, no gaps, loads of support docs provided.

Online application submitted: 06/02/2017
Payment confirmation email received: 06/02/2017
Confirmation email with a case ID received: 07/02/2017
Paper documents and passport sent: 09/02/2017
Documents received by HO: 10/02/2017
Passport return request: 17/02/2017
Passport received back: 22/02/2017
Documents received back + PR card: 28/02/2017

Below my timeline for PR Application as EEA National, who has been living in the UK since 2007 as Self-Sufficient and Employed:

Application transmitted online: 30/01/2017
Appointment for European Passport Return Service: 31/01/2017
PR received: 09/03/2017, dated 27/02/2017

I am positively surprised with the quick turnaround. All the docs I had provided were returned together with the Residence Card Document and a letter stating the Date I acquired Permanent residency.

Dear All,

Hope you guys are well and the people on the forum. :)

My timeline as a NON-EEA PR as follows : Indian National

Married 2011 April - Forever
Application Sent : 22/08/2016
Money Taken : 03/09/2016
Bio metrics Received : 12 Sept
COA Received : 22/09/2016
Passport Received : ???
PR Received :???

It's well over 6 months now since i have made an application (August 22nd -2016)

I have called home office on 28/02/2017 regarding the outcome of the application they asked me about my wife and my details . I gave them the information and by the way my wife is a Latvian citizen and DCPR Holder will be applying for BC citizen ship in October 2017.

Please also note : I received a caution for "common Assault" in 2013 was arrested for one night for about 8 hours . Do you think this would effect my confirmation of NON-EEA PR status in UK? :?

Much appreciate your guidance and advise.

Please Help....

Many thanks,
D

Hello,
i'm a non EEA national
My husband is an EEA national
Me and my spouce we both applying for PR in one application based on his continuous employement through the last 5 years (actually more). We have two kids born in the UK in the last 5 years who are british citizens already

Application sent: 04-Oct-2016
Payment taken: 07-Oct-2016
Biometrics letter arrived and biometrics submitted: 17-Oct-2016 (didn't come through by whatever reason)
Second biometrics letter arrived and biometrics submitted repeatedly: 23-Oct-2016
CoA received: 29-Oct-2016
PR:?

Do they count 6 months from the day of the payment taken? Or from the date of CoA?

On the COA it clearly states "We expect to decide applications for a RC, PR or DRC within six months from the date of application."
I believe HO are going through a backlog since applications from August and September are now starting to come through.

Hi,

To those non-EEA Spouses, have you traveled outside of the UK during the time that the PR was being processed? Did you have any trouble getting back into the UK? I just sent my application in last week, and am a bit worried about being 'stuck' here all summer.

Hi Arusud,

congratulations!
out of curiosity what is your nationality? are you part of the EEA (A8) ? your timeline is impressively quick and I'm wondering if it's because there's a dedicated A8 team.

Good luck everyone!

I can't travel because I don't have any travel ID other than my passport which is sent together with PR application
I could request it back but i didn't want to risk spoiling the process though I know I'm entitled to ask my documents back

Applied as an EEA national qualified by working, with non EEA spouse.

It arrived in exactly 6 months.

Here is my timeline:

Application sent: 23/09/2016
Home Office received on 26/09/2016
Payment taken on 28/09/2016
Email Confirmation: 10/10/2016
Biometric Letter Received: 12/10/2016
Biometric Sent on: 13/10/2016
COA (received on 22/10) 19/10/2016
Passport Requested Back 07/03/2017
PR received on 23/03/2017

Since my spouse didn’t register with the WRS, we only sent documents covering the 5 years starting from June 2011 to 2016, but for our surprise, Home office started counting the 5 years from 2009, regardless of the WRS document.

My spouse biometric card didn’t arrive yet as it will be sent separately and should arrive anytime soon.

I requested the documents back online, but it never arrived by itself. It arrived with the rest of the documents and the PR itself.

(My EEA husband'a card arrived and mine non EEA card will arrive in 10 working days). It took 5 months 20 days from the date of payment taken for our joint EEA/non-EEA application
I was happy to see that they state in the letter that my permanent residence status started from the date I entered the UK+5 years (not from the expiration date of 5-years residence documentation). So I assume that I can apply for citizenship in 6 months (12 months since permanent residence status started)
