Guys looks like the online status checker does update regularly but can be suspended anytime.
My status has just been changed to decided after chasing HO regarding receipt of additional documentation.
I hope it's good news..fingers crossed

To those who have received their approval letters from the HO last week or this week, can you please confirm if your local councils have already received your certificates for your ceremony? Unfortunately for me this isn't the case.Slightly concerned that my approval letter (which arrived by post on 6th Nov) is dated 31st Oct and as per their instructions, the ceremony must be booked within 21 days. I've been told by the council that I can't book the ceremony until after they received my details from HO.

Cristiano, I don't think there is much to worry about, we both had the luck of getting really slow case workers. To be honest no news is better than a reject ;-).

I have now traced about 200 applications (ref 2xxxxxx700 to 2xxxxxxx900) in which 3 are mine - applied 9-Jun-2017, receipt confirmation sent to me on 19-Jun-2017.

Here is the statistics:
76/201 are "not recognised" - majority would be family members of main applicant, these don't get updated or tracked as they are "linked" to the main applicant

125 is the number of traceable applications that have been decided or still awaiting decision.
93/125 are already decided (74.4%)
32/125 are still awaiting decision (25.6%)
Update as of 10-Nov - 1 oustanding application has been processed in one working day.

94/125 are decided (75.2%)
31/125 are awaiting decison (24.8%)

Yes, but the problem is with just case id numbers you don't really know what kind of applications they are. I addition, what do you mean with family applications? I understand there is nothing like that for BC. And for other immigration applications I can confirm that, at least in my case, each applicant in a family application gets their own case id number. At least that is what happened with our application for the EEA DCPR (My wife and daughter both were in the same application but got each a different number, although they were consecutive).

If there were to be such a huge red flag, I am sure you would already be aware of it =)

I want that funny feeling too now :D
It turns out that the red flag didn't exist at all :D

Letter of approval received today and now awaiting for invitation for ceremony, which they say will arrive within 3 weeks.

I'm positive that for some reason September applications are being dealt with much faster. I remember one of the emails from the Home Office saying that due to the backlog they were recruiting new caseworkers. And I suspect those caseworkers will start with the most recent applications as their colleagues are overloaded with previous ones. Obviously this doesn't seem to be fair for applicants waiting for months, but it would appear that it is the HO policy not to reassign to a new caseworker applications which are already assigned.

If I take as key dates the date when my application was acknowledged by the HO (04/10) and the date of approval (07/11) the total consideration time has been one month and three days

Yes I know my statistical analysis could be skewed, I've already stated that I don't know if it's just naturalisation and registration cases. However not many other cases dealt by Home Office take more than 5 months to consider.

Yes, if you apply through NCS and submit a JCAP application with family members (it was 2A+1C in my case), indeed every member gets its own reference number (shown in biometric letters), but only one of them (the main applicant's) is trackable online.

Could anyone else confirm that reference numbers of kids, wifes or husbands naturalisation/registration cases show as "Not Recognised" in the online checker?

We have always applied by post, never used NCS. Both reference numbers (my wife's and daughter's) were emailed in two separate acknowledgements and both individually traceable online. They both were updated simultaneously and also decided simultaneously. On the other hand, for my DCPR application I didn't even get a reference number because they never sent me an acknowledgement (post or email).

Hi again navinw,

Im also waiting. My approval letter is dated 30/10. I hope the invitation letter won't take too long. Some people here are saying they passed the 3 weeks period waiting and still no sign of the letter. Fingers crossed it will arrive soon :-D btw my online status has never changed to decided. So it's not working for everyone.

Hey abigail2 :-)
So since 30/10 , you haven't received the letter....thats bad
I am hoping the invitation letter from HO in next 3 days....i mean as per 2nd class post, it should reach in max 3 days....

:-)

@Navinw,

The approval letter says that the invitation letter should come within the next 3 weeks. I've got a feeling it won't come until later lol. But fingers crossed as you say second class post shouldn't be more than 5 working days. I'll tag you in this post again when I receive it. Please let me also know when you get it :-)
@abigail2
Yes Yes, it should come in next 3 days.....very optimistic :-D
Hi navinw,

Letting you know as I promised.

UPDATE:
The invitation letter from HO arrived this morning on 11.11. (Saturday) Letter is dated 1.11. so very slow second class post. I will be ringing the council on Monday to book a private ceremony within the next couple of days. I was told they still have slots available for the next week. Btw my online status has never changed and even I was approved on 30.10. as per the first HO approval letter, it is still showing awaiting a decision lol.

Good luck and fingers crossed your letter arrives soon too.

hi guys I am seeking advice , I am not able to check my online status it does say number not recognised and I have been waiting since July , my application is straightforward so . I emailed the HO and they replied with this Email
Dear *******
As you may be aware, naturalisation is not an automatic process, and we have to make a number of enquiries to ensure that applicants can satisfy the statutory requirements. Some of these enquiries are carried out by external agencies on our behalf and can sometimes take longer than six months to complete.
We will endeavour to conclude your application at the earliest opportunity and we will write to you again as soon as the necessary checks are complete. Please be assured that, as soon as we are in a position to reach a decision, you will be notified accordingly.

I will forward this email to be added to your application for the case worker to review.
Regards

is it a sign? or I am gonna be waiting long :( I am so frustrated people who applied in September got approval , and please do not tell me cases are different and some checks need more time I've heard this from the HO don't want to hear it here
any advice? any help?
