Do I need to change wife's visa now ?

Post by goldenuk » Thu Jan 04, 2018 12:52 am

Hi ,

My ILR was approved yesterday. I was on tier 1 entrepreneur and my wife and son was my dependant . Is it compulsory to apply my dependent's to FLR M now ? They still having another 7 month's tier 1 entrepreneur dependent visa . And we are planning to go to Indian in 2 weeks . Is that ok apply for their visa after returning from holiday ?
Will it be a problem in airport that husband having indefinite visa and dependents on tier 1 dependent ??

Please reply

How did you acquire ILR? Was it by T1E or was it via Long Residence?

via Long Residence.

Recommend switching to FLR(M) prior to travel.

Hi ,

My ILR was on 10 year long residency basis from tier1 entrepreneur. I'm confused now . We need to travel urgently and my depends have 7 months tier 1 entrepreneur dependant visa . If I apply for their FLR , I might need to wait another 6 month to get their visa as it will be postal application . Can I go to Indian now withI'm being ILR holder and dependents in their previous visa ? Plz suggest ur opinions

Kindly ask ILR related questions a) either in your own topic, or b) in the users ILR topic where you have already posted previously and not in the Spouse visa topic.

Hi Golden UK,
For the question below as u hv explained ur case, the Answer is ' NO '

Question D7 ) have you ever stayed in the United Kingdom beyond the end of your period of leave ?

Coming to the Order of presenting ur application its all up to u how u can make it more clear and understandable to Case worker(CW). Search for the post once Marcnath has posted how to present ur application n try it , bocz I liked the way he suggested to do. It can be followed to any application u make .
BTW, Thank you for that Marcnath

If u like u can simply follow :

1- Cover letter on top of all
2- Fee paid Receipts ( Easy to identify and also the payment pages come early in application form, so it gives the answer straight away)
2- Application ( use paper clip for the application, so that it will be easy for the CW to remove and put it back , how ever he/she needed )
3- Only required documents stated in Guidance comes here ( LIFE IN UK, Degree or English Test Certificate
4- Extra supporting docs (only if Needed) , dont complicate ur case , only provide them if they ask for any

All the best , pls do update here
