You have to use NDRS service as you are applying online, some councils have this service , I believe NCS service is for paper only applications
I applied at the same time as you online and documents via NDRS together with Passport application, and up to now no news, it can take up to 6 months depending on how complex is your application
The fee is taken as part of the process and not after a decision is made.
Hi, all the best with your application. As far as I know the ref pages and the biometric letter will get printed at the end of the application form. I have few questions for you or any other board members. I will be applying for AN online soon.Tkidane wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 10:51 pmhi there,
please please can someone help me,
currently, I have started filling out online citizenship application but I'm not sure where and when to get the referees form to let them sign and also the biometric form , I already added the information for the referees details.
I am in the same boat as you. It’s a mental torture.cceaski13 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 12:17 pmEligibility criteria: ILR+1year

I'm getting a bit worried now.
I must be the only person who has applied in February and still not gotten a response.
Online application as well.
Am I the only one in this position?
Is there anything I can do to see if anything has gone wrong anywhere?
Yes i have the same feelings!London_calling wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 11:36 amIt appears NCS postal applications are approved/ decisions made faster compared to NDRS (online) + JCAP via council looking at the March applications timeline on the forum so far... Anyone share the same thoughts?
Useful if you read first post in this topic as the link has been provided for the online form., see below.David00 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:24 pmHello everybody
I'm here because I'm trying to organise Dual or British Citizenship for my wife who is Portuguese.
First stumbling block: Online Application. I can't see how it is, because I can't fill in the form online.
Form AN
Application for Naturalisation as a British Citizen. The PDF needs to be printed out and then filled in.
.... or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance.
Ah! Many thanks CR001. I was looking in the wrong place: https://www.gov.ukCR001 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:26 pmUseful if you read first post in this topic as the link has been provided for the online form., see below.David00 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:24 pmHello everybody

Does you wife hold a Document Certifying Permanent Residence??
You need to check if she either holds ILR in an older passport likely pre 2007 or a PR document.David00 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:53 pmAh! Many thanks CR001. Does she hold a Document Certifying Permanent Residence?? I'm not sure! We've been married for 29 years, and been living in London all that time, and I know she's classed as a "habitual resident".
Thanks again!CR001 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:59 pmYou need to check if she either holds ILR in an older passport likely pre 2007 or a PR document.David00 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:53 pmAh! ILR or PR is mandatory before she can apply for citizenship and she has to submit evidence of it with her application.
ILR = Indefinite Leave to Remain
