Due to apply for Citizenship online and subsequently take my documents to the NCS.

Anyone know how I would go about applying for a passport at the same time?

You have to use NDRS service as you are applying online,some councils have this service , I believe NCS service is for paper only applications

With NDRS you can do the passport at same time, you have to fill out the form first, pick one up from post office

I applied at the same time as you online and documents via NDRS together with Passport application, and up to now no news, it can take up to 6 months depending on how complex is your application

Not yet , i had to fill in the bit for payment in the passport form but they didn't take the money yet, i believe they only take after making a decision

The fee is taken as part of the process and not after a decision is made.

please please can someone help me,
currently, I have started filling out online citizenship application but I'm not sure where and when to get the referees form to let them sign and also the biometric form , I already added the information for the referees details.

Hi, all the best with your application. As far as I know the ref pages and the biometric letter will get printed at the end of the application form. I have few questions for you or any other board members. I will be applying for AN online soon.
1. Is the application questions and particulars same as the paper form?
2. Do I need to get the ref details from my referees before starting the online form and enter myself?
3. If yes, then what details do I need to ask my referees to provide me when starting online form?
4. I don't have the exact employment dates for last 10 years. I also received the summary for my tax and NI from HMRX for last 10 years. But it has just got the year-company name -tax paid. Is it ok to write just month and year on the application form in employment history page?
5. Any idea what supporting documents will be required( In general) ?

First of all, I have to say this thread must be one of the most helpful things I've read on the entirety of the internet in regards to the whole process of applying for naturalisation and everything around it. So MASSIVE thanks to everyone who's already replied/asked/answered questions and all that -- hats off to you guys!

I'm currently filling out the online version of the application and like a few people before me, I'm stuck at the ''Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?'' question. I'm an EEA citizen and obviously have already applied for Permanent Residency (PR) -- as this is the only type of sort-of-immigration-related application I've ever made, do I answer 'YES'? I'm only asking as earlier on in the process of filling out the application they've already asked for my PR details so I'd find it a bit cofusing if I had to input them all over again.

Hello All,
I'm so glad that have found this forum and I really hope you'll be able to help me out with my online application. I'm an EEA citizen and I have a permanent resident card since November 2016. My question is that the language test I passed in September 2015 which is supposed to be valid for 2 years and I didn't use it when applied for permanent residency-will I need to redo it ? And for both Language Test and Life in the UK the document I used was my ID Card-will I need to certify this at NDRS or my passport ? And the last thing - I have a limited company - will I need a proof of completed last 5 financial years for the online application like for the permanent residency ?

Hi, I've got a question regarding references.

I've printed the paper AN form just to see what would be required for the application and noticed the referee pages, so I went and got the references on the paper form. In the meantime I decided that it is better to do the online application, but after reading some comments here it seems they give you a form to print for the references at the end of the online application.

My question is, would my references on the paper form be ok to submit for the online application? Is the reference form you're given by the online application different to the paper one?

I am about to apply for my citizenship but I am worried about when do they send me back my passport after submitting the form as I already booked a holiday In August.

Hi Friends - I'm in process of applying for Naturalization along with passport using JPAC +NDRS service. Based on my current status of online application process, I have the following questions:

1. In regards with the absence, do we need to go back as far as 5 years? It's not mentioned in the online form stating absence needs to be filled only for last 5 years.
2. In regards with the residency proof - Do they only check for last 5 years? We don't have old passport going back more than 5 years so we cannot show stamping for more than 5 years old.
3. In regards with the referee for my daughter, can we get it from her religious teacher/institution as she has been enrolled for last 4 years?
4. In regards with the photo's - How many photos are required in total? 3 for Naturalisation & 2 for passport?
In regards with the passport application - do we use the paper form available from Post office?

Would be really grateful to get your response/feedback.

You need to check if she either holds ILR in an older passport likely pre 2007 or a PR document.

ILR or PR is mandatory before she can apply for citizenship and she has to submit evidence of it with her application.
