Hi ILRasi,

I applied with UKNARIC for my wife couple of weeks back. I contacted them. They said all UK VISA applicants have to use the red route which costs £120 + VAT + postal charge ( I paid £152 in total). This allows UKVI to check the details directly with UKNARIC. This application provides two certificates - one your english language is equivalent to level B1, C1, etc and the other which provides comparability to UK bachelor's or master's degree.

I dont think you can use the normal English Language assessment which costs approx £50 for VISA applications anymore.

You can use this service of Blue route for English Language assessment (£59 incl VAT) but you would also need a Statement of Comparability which would cost another (£59) so total will be £123 approx including postage. The main difference between red and blue route is different timescales, Blue route takes min. 15 working days whereas Red route is expensive so bit quicker (10 days) as well. But both services give same certificates and valid for UKVI as well.

As mortgage in my name ,shall I select the option others and mention that "Housed owned by husband"?

It would be a great help if you could clarify whether 3 separate set(o) forms required for each applicant(Wife+Chidl1+child2) or just 1 set(0) is enough and to fill in the children details in the same SET(O)form spouse is applying?

Tomorrow is my appointment,I do have payslips of my wife but don't have the bank statements.

The section below says evidence for yourself and any dependants. Wife will be applying ILR along with 2 kids as dependant. So I am bit worried whether to show evidence as kids added as dependants of my wife in the application.
I would be grateful if you or any senior member could clarify on this.

Its looks like I could have saved £6000 by not applying kids ILR(born outside uk) and just to apply ILR for my wife and then to directly apply naturalization for 2 kids based on father with British passport and mother with ILR.

Big disappointment for me personally.

Kids born abroad applications for BC would still be 'at discretion' and no guarantee of approval. Some have had success but many have failed and been refused and then the children's visa have already expired, which creates more problems.

Note that children are Registered not Naturalised.

In my case kids still got the visa validity until 2020 .I should have taken risk when comparing the huge ILR fee.
I think there is no difference in registration or naturalization.

Can you send me the link with cases where child(born outside uk) citizenship is refused without ILR and parents with British passport and ILR. when I did a search in this forum but cant find a single case but I can see plenty approvals under section 3.1 registration.

Most approvals under section 3(1) are when the child has ILR already.

User 'KMVT' had a problem late last year MN1 child born abroad (click) and ILR for child refused as visa had expired (click).

User 'Frazhassan' also faced refusal for all three kids

There have been others but not able to do an indepth search at the moment.

I would say it is safer in the long run, especially for kids that are older, as your eldest seems to be 8 or 9 alread. As you already British, they can all apply for Citizenship once they have their ILR cards as long as your wife meets the spouse of BC 3 year requirements.
