They are free to travel as long as they have a valid visa. Their visas remain valid, there is NO requirement to switch visa categories simply because you got ILR based on 5 years Tier 2.
What if I switch job from my Tier 2 sponsor (after I got my ILR), while dependents still have Tier 2 dependent visa?
My daughter was born in the UK, now I got ILR (from Tier 2), I'm planning to get her naturalised via MN1 Section 1(3), but now I'm also thinking about switching job. Will her current visa (Tier 2 dependent) remain valid?

If you get ILR based on Tier 2, there is NO issue regarding dependent!!

Children are REGISTERED as British not naturalised (adults only).

No. Your dependents are dependent on YOU and not on your sponsor. Their visas remain valid as long as you got ILR based on Tier 2 and not 10 years long residence.

Tier 2 Dependant, ILR main applicant switching job

Post by AndriiUK » Mon Apr 01, 2019 1:49 pm

Hi, my wife and I have applied for the ILRs.
We are planning to get our daughter (born in the UK) naturalised as a British Citizen via MN1 Section 1(3) route.

I'm also thinking about switching the job. Since my original Tier 2 visa was linked to the sponsor and my dependant's visas are linked to mine, will our daughter's visa get invalidated if I switch job from my Tier 2 sponsor?

Did you mean to say yes? (Their visa will be valid). I got ILR based on Tier 2 (5 years).
Thank you!

No to your change of employer question being an issue. Yes to the visa remaining valid.
