Hi all,
I need some help with the spouse visa application. I will be starting one soon but just doing my research prior to the application.
The UK government has stopped the visa4uk application system and it seems to have been replaced with their new .gov official system. On the visa4uk system they had an option, “apply on behalf of someone”. Where on the new system I don’t see that option. It’s only the applicant who can apply I believe.
On the new system, I have a few questions:
Main option on system is: Apply from outside UK < I have to choose this option. My spouse is in India and I’m based here in the UK.
Questions:
1. Can I ask my spouse to create an account and I make the application on her behalf? Because most of the documents are required of me.
2. Do you advise me to create account on my name and also do the application? But I’m already based in the UK.
4. I will also have to make all the payments.
3. The new system has ‘documents’ section: if my spouse has to fill in the online application form. How will she be able to upload the documents? I.e. relationship, our pics together, my payslips, my bank statements. Or do I have to post these documents in a file by printing the online form?
I’m very confused. There’s hardly any information on the new system on how to do the application on it. I watched a lot of YouTube videos but they all have visa4uk application system on it. I rang immigration solicitors here but they didn’t seemed up to date with the latest system.
Please help and thanks in advance.
