To avoid as shortfall for ILR which would then require a THIRD extension to cover a couple of months, she should apply for an extension within 28 days before reaching 30 months residence from date of entry to the UK.I read on here about having to be in UK for a certain number of months to ensure meeting the ILR requirement. Could you explain that? I am sure your date of 28 days before 4 December 2020 takes account of this requirement. However I would just like to know and understand.

If she applies too early, this will create a shortfall. An extension, when approved, is dated from the date of approval and NOT tagged onto the expiry date of her current visa.

I am currently employed and earn Gross £20k per year which covers the current £18.6k earnings requirement for a future FLR(M) application. I also have an occupational pension (from previous Govt employment) of circa £9.5k per year.
My wife is self employed and has worked as such for the last 15 months. Between us, using my pension income and her last 12 months income, we would meet (exceed) the current £18.6k income requirement.
If the situation arose where the £9.5k was my sole income, how do we proof my wifes income? She does not have certified accounts. Will bank statements alone be proof? Her tax records?
I am curious.
Thanks for your help.
Are yae no a wee bit premature in amalgamating my 2 threads? Completely different topics. Maybe keeping the 2 threads apart will help in future searches?Just a thought.........Amber wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 8:32 amFXR_1340 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2019 9:09 pmMy US wife is currently on a first stage Spouse Visa.
