Fiance Visa Work Requirement

Post by StephWilde » Sat Nov 14, 2020 3:05 am

Hi, so I recently got a new job earning over the required amount to bring my fiance to Scotland. The only problem is that my contract is technically that of a Casual Worker. Having spoken to my coworkers and manager, the previous casual worker employed there got consistent hours for over a year before gaining a permanent contract.

My question is does that matter? Does it matter the contract type, even though if for the next 6 months I earn over the required amount? Or is it simply down to the wage slips. Ive read the guidance which states

"Employment can be full-time or part-time.

Employment can be permanent, a fixed-term contract or with an agency. "

As its not directly specified, I wondered if anyone here had any further information on whether this was an acceptable form of employment for this application.

Thanks

On the basis of language is what causing the confusion here, your classification as casual worker goes on to equate Zero hour contract and abundance of testimonies on this forum and others where zero hour contract is used for successful application, you will be fine.
