Yes.1. Can I apply for my children who are born inside the UK for British citizenship via MN1 from outside of UK.
No.a. If Yes, does it affects the application in any way?
It can take up to 6 months, often longer.b. Whats the timeline?
Yesc. Once the British citizenship is granted for children will I be able to apply for their passports from outside of UK?
The child will need a valid foreign passport and visa or a British passport to be able to return to the UK. And no, you cannot apply directly for a British passport for the younger child as the child is not yet British. You have to register the child as British on form MN1 first once you have ILR before you can apply for a British passport.d. My eldest is currently on tier 2 dependent visa, and we haven't applied for visa for our youngest one as we are hoping to avoid the expense and apply for the passport directly once I have got the ILR. However we are planning on visiting Pakistan for some time later this year.
It makes no difference, it is processed in Liverpool regardless of where you apply..If the MN1 is applied from inside the UK does it gets process quicker?
Yes, you have to take the child to enroll biometrics again.a. If the Bio-metrics have already given in the dependent visa. Does the Home office still requires the biometrics for MN1?
You have to send any current foreign passports, so plan accordingly.2.Once the MN1 is approved, can I apply for passports from inside the UK even though the children are not in the UK?
