My spouse is on a Skilled Worker Visa valid until Jan 2023. However, having completed 5 years last month (in August 2022), she now has an active ILR application under process.
I am on PBS dependant visa (dependant on my wife's) issued in March 2020 and valid until end-Sept 2022. I am now seeking to extend my stay in the UK as PBS dependant (not ILR dependant since I don't want my PBS dependant clock to be reset). On my application, when I go on to pay my IHS fees, it asks me to pay only £312 (which is only up until my wife's Skilled Worker Visa duration of Jan 2023 - and that is fair). However, I want my visa to be up at least until March 2025 (on the belief that my wife's ILR application is indeed straightforward) which is when I will complete 5 years and thus be eligible for ILR.
Now my doubts are
1. Am I doing anything or is my understanding of the situation wrong?
2. Assuming my spouse's ILR is successful, does the above scenario mean I have to apply again for Further Leave to Remain in Jan 2023?
3. What should be my best approach in the this case of mine?
Looking forward to your help. I am really nervous about this situation
