Thank you for your reply.zimba wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 10:50 amDebt is mostly a civil issue and on its own should not have any effect in the UK unless for example you have built up a large debt and have not worked out a repayment plan. I doubt UKVI has much interest in these civil issues, particularly outside the UK. Your ILR is more than two years away, so the rules may be different by then.
I just wonder if UKVI has the system checking overseas finance for each application? Or UKVI just checks it for any suspicious application? If I declare overseas bankruptcy at the application, I am sure I do not have any supporting documents as I never go back to that country. Any advice please?zimba wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 10:50 amDebt is mostly a civil issue and on its own should not have any effect in the UK unless for example you have built up a large debt and have not worked out a repayment plan. There is no need or relevance for that. You are worrying unnecessarily.marychan8989 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 9:11 amI just wonder if UKVI has the system checking overseas finance for each application? The advice here is to stop worrying about something that will happen in 2027. Whatever applies now might not be valid then. The immigration rules are constantly changing.
There will be general elections in the UK in less than a year and it's highly likely that a new government will bring changes to the existing legislation in terms of immigration.
Focus on doing the right thing whilst living in the UK.
Thank you for your advice. I should look forward rather than being worried too much.AmazonianX wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 11:00 amThere is no need or relevance for that. You are worrying unnecessarily.
