I had a similar experience but today upon checking I found out that the status switched back from processing to "We have received your application. You must submit your supporting documents to proceed with the application." with no explaination whatsoever, did anyone here encounter something similar?AHC01 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 3:12 pm30/01/2025: Your application is being processedAHC01 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 1:46 amSo it's my turn to start this adventure!

04/02/2025 - Email asking for original Passport & Naturalization certificate
The document given at the ceremony and the online passport application form does say to post your original passport and certificate of naturalisation.
For non resident applications (I'm in Northern Ireland), they say you can post a certified copy of the passport, but that they may request an original. Given the state of US politics, I didn't want to risk losing it and needing a replacement unless I absolutely had to send it.
How did you address the envelope? I used the label the website gave me when I did my initial application (and a second time when I had to include additional documents) - along with the address it included a barcode + application number, which I assume makes it easy for them to record that they've received the documents. Mine changed their status on the tracking page from Alert to Processing/verify documents either the same day or next business day that An Post marked them as delivered.lady_bird_009 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 5:16 amHello!
Has anyone experienced a delay in the date that the documents were delivered and the date that the Passport Office acknowledges receipt of them?
I can see from DHL that my documents were delivered on Thursday 6 February but the passport tracking website still has the status as "Alert: You must submit your supporting documents to proceed with the application." (almost a week later)
Do they hold the documents from showing as receipted until they're ready to process the application and the turnaround time will then commence?
I used the label provided with the barcode and the application number. Seems it might be lost... I'll call customer service and see what I can do.mrzarquon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 10:16 pmHow did you address the envelope? My witness was called today (a notary public here in the US), and the online tracker now says "Your Passport Book is being printed. Any all documents submitted will be returned separately "
Write ‘Certified to be true copy of the original seen by me‘ on the document
Sign and date the document
Print their name under the signature
Add their occupation, address and telephone number.
Does make me wonder why they accept a certified colour copy of an FBR certificate, but not. a certified copy of a naturalisation certificate.????????mrzarquon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 12:14 pmFor non resident applications (I'm in Northern Ireland), they say you can post a certified copy of the passport, but that they may request an original. Not exactly sure what you meant. If you are referring to the barcode on the cover page, that’s not a postage label. That’s your tracking number for your application. You still need to purchase a postage stamp or registered mail service by yourself.
Thanks for the reply! The label I got with my documents is different from what you have posted. It has a barcode with a Track and Trace number along with a note where the stamp would go saying 'No payment required if posted through the An Post network'littlerr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 4:13 pmNot exactly sure what you meant. They don’t accept certified copies of naturalisation cert as naturalisation staff aren’t available anymore to respond to passport requests to verify authenticity but FBR staff are.Hachimaru wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 9:54 amI guess its down to the FBR cert having A PhotoHachimaru wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 8:09 amDoes make me wonder why they accept a certified colour copy of an FBR certificate, but not. a certified copy of a naturalisation certificate.????????mrzarquon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 12:14 pmFor non resident applications (I'm in Northern Ireland), they say you can post a certified copy of the passport, but that they may request an original.
