I used my married name on my application. It's the same name on my current passport and main name on the naturalisation certificate.contorted_svy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 8:29 pmWhat name did you use when you applied? Name at birth doesn't matter if you changed it (eg via marriage).
Just to clarify. I used AAA BBB CCC (married name) on application, current passport and naturalisation certificate.contorted_svy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:37 pmThen you need to request a free replacement https://www.gov.uk/get-replacement-citi ... ertificate
Sorry. The main name on naturalisation certificate does match my passport.contorted_svy wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 9:12 amYes. The current certificate doesn't match your passport so you wouldn't be able to get a UK passport. As it was their mistake you can request a replacement free of charge.
Noalterhase58 wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 9:35 amIs it your national birth certificate which is "wrong"?
That wouldn't matter - you don't need to produce your birth certificate for a British passport.
I think cases like this are rare here on the forum.subjectnature wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 9:44 amMy married name is DO MI FA (This is reflecring on my current passport and main name on naturalisation certificate)
So in my naturalisation certficate, my name at birth if different is just DO MI (middle name is missing)
