When i click on "Make arrangements to provide your documents and biometrics" then clicks on "Book your appointment" it takes me to VFS (https://atlantis-abs-uk.vfsglobal.com/handshake/landing ) which i believe is application submitting outside the UK. However, I am in the UK and not in India and whilst filling the application I said I am in the UK.

Have you tried to contact the above email addresses? I understand your issue, but you need someone at the back end to look at it.

I called this morning home office general number, and they said it's a common problem and they asked me to send email to Nationality.biometric@homeoffice.co.uk and it can up to 21 days for them to come back or correct.

Hi,

When i called again just to be sure, other agent advise me to email Nationalitbiometrics@homeoffice.gov.uk rather than Nationality.biometric@homeoffice.co.uk so i am confused who was correct the first agent or second one. I didn't get failure message on Nationality.biometric@homeoffice.co.uk when i have sent email.

i thought of sending email to Nationalitbiometrics@homeoffice.gov.uk but then i thought it would confuse them.

what is your suggestion from the past situation like this?

Try emailing all email addresses you were given. Caseworker advice is often contradictory. We don't know all the emails that they use.

Thanks, will do, but also what will happen if I cancel my current application? will this impact my next application which i going to fill in fresh?

Let's say i cancel the current application and fill the new one do i need to put current cancelled application details in new application?

"Immigration details (Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?)
Name in which you made the application
Date of application, if known
Enter your reference number if known
Was this application made in the UK?
Were your fingerprints taken as part of this application?
Date fingerprints were taken, if known

Thanks, will wait for their response on the emails (yesterday on Nationality.biometric@homeoffice.co.uk and today on Nationalitbiometrics@homeoffice.gov.uk) which i have sent for couple of days otherwise will cancel the application and start with new one because i guess they take their own time to respond.

Also the refund will happen automatically? and how will it take to refund?

We don't know how long refunds take. They don't have a clear policy laid out. You still have 45 days to attend an appointment, so you may be able to sort it without having to cancel the application and apply again.

I called them again today and they said refunds takes up to 6 weeks, and if after 6 weeks money doesn't refund i can call them.

Also just to be sure i checked again the email id and now they gave me another one, so in total i got 3 different email ID's (below for reference)and i have sent again one single email by copying all.

Nationality.biometrics@homeoffice.gov.uk
Nationality.biometric@homeoffice.gov.uk
Nationalitybiometrics@homeoffice.gov.uk

I am bit nervous they are not acknowledging the emails despite i am telling them pls acknowledge. I can understand their SLA is 21 days but they way its going on i doubt they will ever reply

You can't make them reply. You are using all their channels. As things are, you can't attend a biometric appointment anyway so they would process the refund eventually. You can afford to wait 2-3 weeks and see if they reply, before cancelling your application.

By your experience, and you would have seen tons of cases in the group, do they reply on timely manner?

Unfortunately their replies are not always timely and I haven't seen a consistent pattern. I haven't seen many cases like yours specifically but as things are you have done everything you can.

Yes, it's been 10 days when i first emailed them and as per their auto response "Whilst we aim to respond to all emails within 7-10 working days, due to unprecedented demand, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry within this timeframe."

I am guessing either they don't know what to or case worker whom I spoken (3 different one) with gave me wrong or generic info stating "This is technical is issue and most of them have issue". I had a look into all the google search and CHATGPT / GROK etc AI tools and very few or almost negligible people faced this issue what i am having.

I will wait till next week as it will be 3 weeks.
